How the POW Lab builds a Strategic Bitcoiners Reserve
Bitvocation is often mistaken for a recruitment agency. We are not. We do not do headhunting and we do not collect CVs in a database. We are building a Bitcoin talent pool: a high-signal reserve and a practical first point of contact for Bitcoin startups when they are hiring. The POW Lab is where that reserve is formed.

Months, not weeks
The POW Lab is a private, high-touch environment. We do not just review profiles, we hang out with our members over months.

We see how you work
How you think and communicate, what you contribute, and how much ownership and agency you naturally take. That proximity cannot be replicated by CV screening or interviews.

Founders can come to us first
Traditional headhunters charge 20 to 30 percent of annual salary, rarely realistic for early-stage teams. If we have the right person, we save founders time, energy and money.
Skin in the game
Members pay in sats. That is a seriousness filter, signalling genuine commitment to building a Bitcoin career rather than casual interest. It is also a practical competence filter: members need to know how to make a Lightning payment and actually use Bitcoin as money. That alone removes a surprising amount of noise.

FAQ's
I do not know how to make a payment through the Lightning Network. Is there another way to pay?
Unfortunately not. We aim to attract only Bitcoin enthusiasts to this group, so being able to use Bitcoin is an important requirement. If you do not know yet how a Lightning wallet works, you can easily learn it. Strike.me is a convenient custodial option for beginners, and there are plenty of others, including self-custodial ones. Since we work with Bitcoin-only employers, we want to be sure we attract people who are not afraid to use the technology.
I know how to make a Lightning payment, but I do not want to spend my bitcoin. Can I pay in fiat?
Nope. Lightning payment is an important filter to make sure we attract the right people to the group. We understand you want to hodl and prefer not to spend your bitcoin, but have you ever heard of spend and replace?
What happens after the 6 months?
It is up to you. You can let your membership run out and leave the Telegram group, keeping all the resources you received. Or you can renew for another 6 months at the same price, or commit for longer at a discount.
Are you a recruitment agency?
No. We do not do headhunting and we do not collect CVs in a database. We are building a Bitcoin talent pool and we are your advocates. When a Bitcoin startup asks us for someone great, we recommend members we have spent real time with.
Is my profile public?
Your spot in our job seeker database is pseudonymous. We use it to create recommendations and shortlists for Bitcoin employers who approach us.
